From Myanmar Roots to the World
With roots in both Myanmar and Japan, she is pursuing a dream of competing on the international tennis stage.
Growing up, she saw people close to her struggle with questions of identity, belonging, and their Myanmar roots. Those experiences shaped the way she sees her own journey.
Inspired by Filipino tennis player Alexandra Eala, she wants to keep challenging herself, create her own opportunities, and show that our roots do not have to define the limits of our future.
Her dream is not only to become a successful athlete, but to give young people with Myanmar roots another reason to believe in what is possible.
To keep moving forward — and one day become a player Myanmar can believe in and be proud of.
